“CSI” is airing its scariest episode ever—the horror movie-themed
“The Chick Chop Flick Shop.” We’ll be posting a promo for the show, and a graphic scene involving a chainsaw that will be toned down on TV!
Writer Evan Dunsky, director Richard Lewis and actress Liz Vassey will field questions about “CSI” during a live blog. Post your questions, then come back on Thursday, November 1st at 10:00 pm (ET) / 7:00 pm (PT) to hear the creative team confess!
Post your questions for Liz, Evan and Richard on this forum.

We should have the clips on Monday. That chainsaw should help get inspired.

One thing I'd like to know is if Chiller is showing an amped up clip, well how much did they have to chop, er, a "tone it down" for tv and did they try to get away with a little more than they usually do and were they given a little more leeway for this episode by the network?

Ok, Question;
What was so graphic about that clip that it was removed from the show?*
One splatter of blood and she fell apart, big deal. It's not like it was any kind of closeup shot or any guts flying around. I've seen much more gore in hospital shows.
*Or did they really just cut it to make more time for commercials?

In fact, there was no blood whatsoever where she is chopped in half. So maybe it's about the whole chopped in half idea that's not allowed on tv. How much did that mess them up for concept of the this show and did it leave them an editing nightmare or were they expecting to have to chop some out?

After having a little taste of the horror genre, do any of you guys ever think that a Horror flick is in your future?

Liz, can you explain how the effect of you being cut in half with a chainsaw
was accomplished?

Where did the idea for this script come from? For that matter, where do you get the ideas for all the CSI stories?

Did you make this episode especially for Halloween? And if so, can we expect more Holliday related shows... Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc?

The chainsaw is pretty cool, but not really as gory as I was expecting...what has been the sickest most disgusting scene you've ever done on CSI?? Don't hold back, Missy! This is the internet! Hu-Rah!

my question for Liz. Now that Jorja Fox is leaving, is there any chance of you moving to a regular spot on the show as a possible field agent, ala the character of Greg Sanders?
my question for Evan Dunsky. Where did you get your inspiration to write a horror themed CSI episode?
